As many of you know, I recently started a clothing brand, VALT, a luxury apparel brand made to enhance your social life.
I started the brand to serve as a stark reminder that getting dressed again got my mind right again. When I became a mom, I experienced pretty severe postpartum depression, and didn’t know how to climb my way out of it.
Slowly, I started to understand that prioritizing myself — aka my hobbies, career, and appearance — was something that had to happen in order to get out of my depressive funk and start enjoying my life again.
And so, dressing up became the catalyst to my improved mental health journey.
With VALT, my hope is to show women the incredible power that dressing up has on their mental health. Through my signature line of kimono robes and jumpsuits, alongside select, sustainable brands I’m carrying in the VALT shop, it is my mission to give my clients the ultimate styling VIP experience — complete with fancy espresso and champagne and fun parties-with-a-purpose — all while benefitting mental health organizations.
